Jakob Wywialowski, living in blissful solitude on his isolated Midwestern farm, is angry when a flock of singing angels invade his attic and interrupt his favorite game of chess played by snail mail. These celestial pests are here to party. They rock Jakob's attic with hallelujahs from dusk to dawn, and all day long. No matter what Jakob does to shut them up, they just don't pay attention. Finally, he’s had it...he calls the exterminators. The rather diabolical Mr. Death and his two thug-like assistants, Billy and Jim, arrive at Jakob’s house and offer to relieve Jakob of his problem. Jakob’s more than a little put off by these guys, but agrees to let them do their dirty work. As it turns out, that means launching a miniature Armageddon in Jakob’s attic.Watching the fiery supernatural war in dismay from his front lawn, Jakob wonders whether he really wants to have angels killed after all. Can he ever redeem himself? And does he really like living in 'angel-proof' solitude?Presented by Columbia College Chicago, this 13-minute film is based on a short story by Audrey Niffenegger, the author of the best-selling science fiction novel, 'The Time Traveller's Wife.'
